Optimus Reim is Back?

James Reimer was in net for Toronto's 5-0 win over Ottawa tonight. He made 49 saves while earning the shutout.

This is Reimer's second shutout in as many games, the previous one coming on Wednesday when he made 25 saves in a 1-0 victory against Pittsburgh.

It seems this could be the return of Grace for Reimer, saving the last 74 shots he faced. He is faring better than the Monster lately and he could now have wrestled the starting job from him. Here at Two Bored Teens, we are just speculating about this but this could finally spell the end of the 6 year playoff drought if Reimer continues to be hot.

We don't know for sure since he has been streaky this season but we would still like to hear your opinions on whether or not Reimer will return to his 2010-2011 form! Comment below!
Wojtek Wolski has been sent down to the AHL Connecticut Whales.

Just an author's note. That makes the salary of the Rangers extremely high. Don't forget Wade Redden ($6.5 Million), Wojtek Wolski ($4 Million), and Sean Avery ($4 Million). Put it in perspective for our readers, Wade Redden earns the AHL minimum yearly salary of $37,500 in one period.

Sam Gagner's 8 Point Night

Last night Oiler's center Sam Gagner had a night he won't forget. He had 8 points, 4 goals and 4 assists. His 8 points in one game is tied with the Oiler's record of points in a game. He ties the great Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffey.

S/O to @jerseyfoul on this one.

Jagr + USA. Need I say more?
The Minnesota Wild have traded W Casey Wellman and a 2012 7th Round Pick to the New York Rangers in exchange for C Erik Christensen.

Analysis:
Casey Wellman is a good winger that has good hands. He excels at the AHL level but after multiple stints in the NHL, he hasn't been able to excel there.

Erik Christensen is a third line center. He's amazing on shootout goals but has been bouncing around the AHL and the NHL.

Bryon Bitz unable for tonight's game after recall.

The Vancouver Canucks have tried to recall  RW Bryon Bitz. However, due to the inclement weather in the Colorado area, they are unable to call him up.
