- Derek Dorestt has signed a three year contract extension with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was expected to be an RFA, but with the sudden turn of events will not have to go through the hassle in the off-season. This season he has a career high 12 goals and and eight assists along with an NHL high 235 PIMs.
- Blues Assistant Coach Scott Mellanby has left the organization to pursue other career opportunities. No word on his replacement.
- Speculation: @bobmckenzie is reporting that he wouldn't be surprised if he left to join the Habs.
- Vancouver's AM980 has tweeted that he COULD be Vancouver bound?
- @jprutherford is reporting that possible replacements for Mellanby are the following: Tom Renney, Jeff Brown, and Gary Agnew.
- Mikael Granlund has offically joined the Minnesota Wild.
- Contract Terms: 3Yr/$2.7Mill with an annual signing bonus of $90K

- Luke Richardson has decided to join the AHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators as their head coach. He was already the Asssistant Coach of the big league club, but he will now get a promotion to the Head Coaching job in Binghamton.
